LOCATION: Belfast CONTRACT: Full-time/Permanent HOURS: 40 hours per week SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday SALARY: Competitive JOB OVERVIEW & PURPOSE: The General Maintenance Operative is responsible for undertaking a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the premises. You will work as part of a team to carry out planned and reactive maintenance duties, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional approach at all times. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform routine and reactive maintenance tasks including repairs to building fabric, plumbing, electrical systems, and heating. Assist with preventative maintenance schedules. Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition. Record and report all maintenance activities accurately. Follow health and safety regulations and company policies. Provide exceptional customer service to visitors and colleagues. REQUIREMENTS: Experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting skills. Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are advantageous. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Willingness to work flexible hours if required. Valid driver's license is a plus.
