Position Summary As a FTTH Installer, you will play a crucial role in the deployment of fiber optic technology to residential and commercial customers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful installation and configuration of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) systems, which provide high-speed internet access. This position requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction, as you will be the face of the company during installations. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise during the installation process. Ultimately, your work will contribute to enhancing connectivity and improving the overall digital experience for our customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Install and configure FTTH systems at customer locations, ensuring compliance with industry standards. • Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and prepare necessary materials. • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues, providing timely solutions to customers. • Educate customers on the use of their new fiber optic services and equipment. • Maintain accurate records of installations and service calls, reporting any issues to management. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Basic understanding of fiber optic technology and installation practices. • Knowledge of networking principles and troubleshooting techniques. • Technical proficiency in fiber optic installation, which will be utilized daily as you set up and configure systems for customers. • Strong problem-solving skills are essential, as you will frequently encounter challenges that require quick and effective solutions. • Excellent communication skills will be necessary to explain technical concepts to customers in an understandable manner. • Additionally, attention to detail is crucial for ensuring that installations meet quality standards and customer expectations. • Preferred skills, such as networking knowledge, will enhance your ability to troubleshoot and optimize the performance of installed systems. Education & Experience • High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience in telecommunications or a related field. • Certification in fiber optic installation or related training. • Previous experience with customer service in a technical environment.
