Description
We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to join a dedicated accessibility engineering team, working on a modern web application built with React, Next.js and TypeScript. This is a remote, freelance/contractor position for a 6-month engagement, working in English with a European team. Responsibilities Lead the development of accessibility (A11y) fixes and improvements across web applications built with Next.js and React.js Collaborate with cross-functional teams - product, design, and backend - to deliver high-quality, well-architected solutions Implement responsive, user-centric interfaces that adhere to modern web and accessibility standards Requirements Demonstrable expertise in TypeScript, React.js and Next.js Experience implementing accessibility (A11y) features in websites and/or web applications Proven ability to architect solutions aligned with business objectives, not just execute tasks Proficiency with Material UI (MUI) for building intuitive, responsive interfaces A track record of effective collaboration in cross-disciplinary teams, including UX designers and backend engineers Fluent in English 5+ years of professional experience developing highly scalable web applications Experience in the payments or financial services industry ( nice to have)
