Position Overview   We are seeking an experienced  Senior DevOps Engineer  to join our team on a contract basis for an upcoming project with a high-profile client. The successful candidate will take ownership of building out the cloud infrastructure within a private AWS environment and building robust CI/CD pipelines for our development teams. This is a hands-on role ideal for a seasoned engineer who is experienced in delivering production-grade infrastructure that is reliable, efficient and observable.   Key Responsibilities   CI/CD Pipeline Development:  Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows to support rapid, reliable releases.   Application Deployment:  Deploy, optimize and provide technical support for a variety of serverless containerised applications.   Database Management:  Provision, configure, and tune relational databases, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and backup/recovery strategies.   Infrastructure as Code (IaC):  Build and manage all infrastructure declaratively using IaC frameworks.   Monitoring & Observability:  Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions for all services to ensure system health and rapid incident response.   Security & Compliance:  Apply best practices for IAM, secrets management, network security, and compliance within the AWS ecosystem.   Collaboration:  Work closely with our internal development teams to streamline deployment processes and foster a strong DevOps culture.   Documentation:  Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, pipelines, and operational procedures.   Required Qualifications   5+ years of professional DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.   Extensive, demonstrable experience with AWS as the primary cloud platform, including deep experience building and deploying serverless and event-driven cloud applications on AWS.   Proven track record designing and operating CI/CD pipelines.   Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS).   Hands-on experience with relational databases, including Amazon RDS and/or Aurora—covering setup, scaling, optimization, and maintenance.   Proficiency with at least one Infrastructure as Code framework (Terraform, Pulumi, or CDK).   Strong understanding of networking, security, and AWS Well-Architecte
