You will play an active part of software project teams to design and document software whilst consistently communicating with stakeholders and other departments to ensure software meets requirements. Responsibilities Model-based design of flight control software using Simulink or similar. Developing the design and maintenance of autopilot simulation software. Coordination and contribution to flight performance studies. Development of flight dynamics models for company products. Collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders to define software requirements. Review of software source code and model designs. Collaboration with other engineering disciplines. Ensuring regular and consistent test and test recording to ensure correct operation of software and that requirements are met. Support the Project Manager in scoping, defining and estimating project tasks. Perform other related duties as required. When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training About You Qualifications BSc or MSc degree in an Engineering related subject Skills and competencies Essential Experience in designing and documenting control systems. Deep understanding of aeronautics and control theory. Experience of designing and documenting software. Experience using MATLAB & Simulink. Knowledge of a variety of programming languages and tools Desirable Understanding of real time and embedded software. Knowledge of safety related engineering practices.
