The Role:   Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the Fleet Mechanic is responsible for maintaining ATC’s fleet of vehicles and trailers, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational readiness within a modern, state-of-the-art workshop environment.    Responsibilities:   Maintenance and repair of HGVs, trailers, and vans  Routine servicing and CVRT preparation  12/13-week inspections  Diagnostics and fault finding  Preventative maintenance scheduling  Tail lift inspections and tyre coordination  Maintain records and reports  Support apprentice development-   Maintain clean and safe work environment  Requirements About you: Qualified HGV Mechanic with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.  Strong diagnostic abilities with a high standard of technical competence.  Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team  Strong IT and reporting skills.  Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a strong work ethic.  Excellent timekeeping and reliability.  Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks efficiently.  Experience with MAN, DAF, Mercedes, Volvo, Scania; Krone/Schmitz trailers; Dhollandia tail lifts; and auto‑electrical/telematics systems (desirable).
