IBMC is proudly assisting a prominent, multi-million dollar Enterprise Hardware & Technology Manufacturing Group from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) . As a global leader in computing infrastructure, our client specializes in the end-to-end design, assembly, and deployment of enterprise-level server architectures, advanced data storage systems, and AI-ready computing hardware. In a strategic move to capture the Asia-Pacific market, they are launching a massive manufacturing and technology localization expansion in Indonesia . This expansion bridges cutting-edge Middle Eastern tech investment with Indonesia's national infrastructure projects, offering an unparalleled opportunity for local engineering talents to be part of a global tech revolution. To anchor this exciting Indonesian expansion, we are seeking a brilliant, career-driven Firmware / Embedded Engineer to be based onsite at our newly established high-tech manufacturing facility in Batam . In this role, you will not just maintain software, you will be a founding engineer designing low-level system software (BIOS/UEFI and embedded firmware) for next-generation enterprise servers. Following a rigorous feasibility study, you will play a historic role in developing secure firmware that aligns with national defense and cybersecurity standards mandated by BSSN (Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara) . Key Responsibilities Next-Gen Firmware Development: Architect, develop, and optimize robust embedded firmware and bootloaders (BIOS/UEFI) for newly localized enterprise server motherboards. BSSN Cyber-Security Integration: Lead the engineering phase following feasibility studies to hardcode state-approved cryptographic algorithms and secure-boot sequences in direct compliance with BSSN requirements. Kernel & Driver Optimization: Master the Linux Kernel layer by writing, debugging, and maintaining low-level device drivers to ensure seamless hardware-to-software orchestration. Cross-Border Collaboration: Partner closely with hardware designers locally on the Batam factory floor and cross-reference architectures with global R&D teams in the UAE. Compliance Documentation: Maintain immaculate technical blueprints and cryptographic logs required for high-stakes government and national compliance audits. Requirements Location: Must be currently based in Batam , or strictly willing to relocate and work full-time onsite in Batam . Experience: Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in Firmware Development, Embedded Systems, or low-level systems programming. Core Languages: Elite, clean coding proficiency in C and C++ for embedded architectures. Technical Domains: Hands-on experience with BIOS/UEFI development and a deep familiarity with Linux Kernel driver optimization . Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English (mandatory for daily collaboration with global UAE engineering teams). Analytical Prowess: Strong problem-solving mindset, comfortable using hardware debugging tools (JTAG, emulators) and executing data-driven feasibility studies. Prior experience or interest in national compliance structures (BSSN, TKDN) or cryptography is a major competitive advantage. Benefits Highly competitive monthly salary package aligned with a premium international tech firm. Incredible opportunity to be a pioneer in a global UAE tech expansion in Indonesia. Direct exposure to high-level national security, siber-defense, and enterprise hardware projects. Working inside a state-of-the-art, internationally certified manufacturing plant environment.
