About the role: The Financial Controller will be a cornerstone hire as Ofload enters its next chapter of growth. Reporting directly to the VP, Finance, and sitting within a 20-person finance team, you will own the integrity of our financial reporting, controls, and accounting operations — and play a defining role in building the finance function we need to operate as a mature, high-performing business.. This is not a caretaker role. You will lead our financial close process, build a rigorous control environment, drive technical accounting excellence, and take ownership of complex transactions — from debt facility management to M&A and subsequent integration. You will partner closely with FP&A, Finance Transformation & Operations, and senior leadership to deliver financial insight that drives decisions, not just reports that describe them. What you'll do: Leadership & Development Manage and develop a team of finance professionals in our Sydney office. Set clear expectations, build development plans, and foster a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement Act as a key finance leader, contributing to broader team culture and ways of working as we grow Financial Reporting & Close Own the end-to-end month-end and year-end close process — ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with AASB/IFRS standards Deliver board-ready management accounts and variance commentary to the CFO each month Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and oversee the balance sheet Partner with FP&A teams to support reporting and plannin
