Further information is available at www.nfigroup.com .   POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Accounting Transactions Team Supervisor, this position works as part of the Internal Group Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and deadline submission of month-end, quarter-end and year-end results are met. This position supports leadership in the development and implementation of standardized Group accounting policies and processes.    WHAT YOU WILL DO: Performs recurring monthly tasks and journal entries to assist the Internal Group Accounting team in financial close.  Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and account analysis.  Maintains general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy.  Collaborates with Account Transactions Team Supervisor and Internal Group Accounting Manager to ensure that deadlines are met.  Supports the Internal Group Accounting leadership in the development and implementation of standardized accounting policies and processes.  Aids in process standardization and system implementation projects.  Assists with internal and external audit requests.  Supports and interacts with various functional groups within Finance and Operations.  Requirements WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or a combination of related education and experience.  1-2 year's experience in a finance/accounting function.  Demonstrated knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).  Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.   Analytical problem solver with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.  Strong MS Excel skills and ability to learn new systems. Familiarity with Oracle considered an asset.  Current enrolment or completion of a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) considered an asset.
