Facility Manager
Triumvirate Environmental is looking for a Facility Manager with expertise to oversee our non-hazardous sold waste and the hazardous waste 10-day operation for our Smithfield, NC facility. The ideal candidate will possess experience in both the hazardous & non-hazardous waste industries.

This position reports to our Vice President of Disposal .
Responsibilities:
Develop the knowledge and experience to manage a Part B permitted TSDF
Understand the governing TSDF permit.
Support general facility compliance including performing daily/weekly/monthly compliance inspections, training, SOP implementation/review, and process review
Supervise general facility operations including serving as management if the facility manager is not available
Consolidate waste according to TSDF permit, disposal facility requirements, and customer preferences
Choose appropriate disposal facilities for waste based on acceptability, Customer preference, and cost
Understand waste determination regulations to assist with profile management and approval
Coordinate outbound loads- setting up deliveries, scheduling transporters, etc.
Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, and EPA regulations
Demonstrate your supervisory leadership abilities through interaction with coworkers
Work towards becoming familiar with technical, customer service, and business components of environmental services
Work with computerized waste tracking systems
Upon completion of emergency response (ER) training, you will be part of an in-house ER team
Basic Requirements:
3-5+ years of experience in the hazardous waste industry
BS in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or other related majors, or equivalent required
Basic knowledge of lab packs
Prior knowledge, experience, and compliance with DOT, RCRA, and other applicable regulations
Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
Must have a reliable form of transportation
Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
Must be able to report to designated office within 1 hour during Emergency Response rotating shifts
The Facility Manager frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety-sensitive.
