Job Description: An opportunity currently exists for the position of Engineering Clerk, who will report to the Mgr. Project Services & Asset Information. This role requires an efficient multi-tasker and outgoing individual to provide technical administrative support to project engineering, asset data, document control, and compliance teams by assisting with a variety of activities related to the management and delivery of projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate positivity, flexibility and innovation in dealing with changing priorities, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities: Research and understand AltaLink’s asset data and compliance requirements for Substations, P&C, SCADA, Telecommunications, and Transmission Lines; Complete technical forms and checklists as needed to support project engineering teams; Assist engineers in development and verification of concurrent engineering agreements, coordinate with engineers, project managers and document controllers to facilitate and support the concurrency process; Assist master data clerks with creating and maintaining functional location structures and equipment records; collect, validate and clarify required technical information with subject matter experts; Contribute to meeting requirements of the Inventory Control Form, Master Characteristics List, and Alberta Reliability Standards compliance and return data processes; Interact with project engineering teams and business partners to collect equipment related information; compile and save data to designated locations and capture details for project reporting as needed; Collaborate with document controllers and draftspersons to request drawing numbers and Bentley ProjectWise placeholders; support return data collection and resolution of associated issues; Assist with administration of engineering products produced by the project engineering teams; including collection of audit deliverables, quality control, governance, etc; Verify protection setting requests for completeness and technical accuracy and create corresponding cost and schedule estimates; Create new protection setting records in Enoserv Powerbase, including assigning relay numbers and creating project templates; Coordinate engineering services contractors; track associated documents and project costs.
