Akicita Federal is hiring Electricians to maintain and improve critical electrical infrastructure supporting veterans' care at the Central Alabama VA Medical Center in Montgomery, AL. These hands-on roles keep hospital facilities safe, functional, and up to code — directly enabling VA clinical teams to serve those who served our country. You'll work alongside a skilled facilities crew in a structured, full-time schedule with consistent hours and meaningful work every day. - Install, maintain, and repair electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures and controls throughout the medical campus - Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform corrective repairs to keep facility systems operating safely and reliably - Inspect electrical components, panels, and wiring for defects, wear, or code compliance issues and take corrective action - Support planned and emergency electrical work across interior and exterior campus areas, including possible rotation to the Tuskegee campus as needed - Use hand and power tools common to the electrical trade safely and proficiently - Coordinate with on-site facility supervisors to prioritize and complete daily work orders and maintenance tasks - Respond to emergency electrical situations using established contact protocols and campus procedures
