Description
A company based in Tatu City is seeking to recruit an Electrical Technician who will support both the solar assembly plant and field operations. The role includes assembling and wiring solar components, conducting product testing, performing site visits, carrying out technical assessments, and installing solar systems for clients. The technician ensures compliance with safety and quality standards while supporting efficient production and reliable field installations. Key Responsibilities 1. Field Site Visits & Assessments Conduct site surveys to assess client locations for solar system suitability. Evaluate installation requirements including roof structure, shading, electrical load, and cabling paths. Prepare site assessment reports and recommend appropriate system sizes and configurations. 2. Solar System Installations Install complete solar systems (panels, mounting structures, wiring, inverters, batteries, etc.). Test system functionality and ensure proper commissioning. Provide basic training to clients on system operation and maintenance. 3. Testing & Quality Control Perform electrical testing using multi meters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic tools. Document test results and ensure all products meet internal and industry standards. Report defects or deviations and recommend corrective actions. 4. Troubleshooting & Maintenance Diagnose electrical faults both in the plant and in client systems. Repair or replace faulty components and ensure timely resolution. Support preventive maintenance on plant equipment and field-installed systems. 5. Compliance & Safety Follow all safety procedures during assembly and installations. Maintain accurate documentation of tests, assessments, and installations. • Adhere to OSHA, company policies, and industry standards. Requirements Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, renewable energy or related field. At least 2-3 years of experience in solar installation and maintenance. Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and engineering documents. Knowledge of solar system design, inverters, and batteries is an added advantage. EPRA license T1, T2, T3 is a strong advantage
