Description
Designer Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our operations team in Dublin, supporting the delivery of a major live data centre project for a leading global technology client. This is a site-based delivery role, suited to someone with strong electrical project management experience in M&E contracting, mission critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, or large-scale commercial environments. The successful candidate will take ownership of electrical project delivery, working closely with site management, engineering, commercial, procurement, quality, safety, subcontractors and client-side stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required technical standard. As Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving the electrical scope from planning and procurement through installation, testing, commissioning and handover. You will manage project teams, oversee subcontractor performance, monitor progress against programme, resolve technical and commercial issues, and ensure that all work is delivered in line with Designer Group standards, client requirements and project specifications. Key responsibilities include: Lead the delivery of electrical works on a major Dublin-based data centre project. Manage site teams, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and specialist suppliers. Drive programme delivery, ensuring milestones are achieved and risks are identified early. Work closely with the Project QS to manage commercial performance, cost control, variations and project reporting. Support procurement planning, technical submittals, RFIs, material approvals and subcontractor coordination. Review design information and work with engineering teams to resolve buildability, coordination and installation issues. Chair and attend project meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives. Monitor labour, materials, plant and resources to ensure efficient project delivery. Ensure works are completed in line with quality standards, commissioning requirements and handover expectations. Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Promote and uphold Designer Group’s health, safety, quality and environmental standards at all times. This role is ideal for an Electrical Project Manager who enjoys fast-paced site delivery, strong stakeholder engagement and the challenge of delivering complex electrical systems in a highly technical environment. The structure and responsibilities are aligned with the existing Electrical Project Manager role framework used by Designer Group.
