What Impact You'll Have GRVTY is seeking an experienced, motivated Mid-level Electrical Engineer to join our innovative engineering team in Ventura, CA. This is an opportunity to develop and test systems for our groundbreaking Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV) Family of Systems and advanced navigation technology. You will work alongside subsea domain experts to develop power systems, embedded electronics, underwater connectors, sensor integration, and vehicle system architecture. You will join a team of dedicated engineers and scientists who are pushing the boundaries of maritime technology to deliver exceptional products and capabilities. What You'll be Owning Lead the design, development, testing, and integration of electrical and electronic subsystems for UUVs and other maritime platforms Produce designs for power subsystems, cabling, electronics, and circuit cards Develop test plans and conduct bench testing of subassemblies and support system integration and test Responsible for selection and qualification of COTS components suitable for underwater and marine environments Contribute to proposals and presentations Lead author on reports/papers and presents work at meetings when appropriate Provide mentoring for interns What You Must Have Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field 8+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering Applied knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power electronics, and processing platforms Extensive experience in electrical engineering practices and principles as well as ability to apply them Experience with embedded systems or microcontroller-based designs Experience with communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, RS-485, Ethernet, CAN bus Experience with circuit and PCB design tools (Altium, OrCAD, etc.) Experience with MATLAB/Simulink Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Strong organizational skills with ability to practice effective time management of goals and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to produce clear technical documentation This is a full-time position with the expectation of a minimum 40-hour commitment per work week.
