Description
As a member of the Electrical Engineering team for Product Sustaining you will leverage your technical expertise, ability to drive tasks to completion, and organizational mindset to support the development teams and the OnLogic portfolio of products. You will drive engineering change, both directing and assisting work done by the hardware development teams. Through electrical troubleshooting and testing systems you’ll ensure our customers can depend on our products. In this role, you’ll be responsible for: Take point on troubleshooting product concerns or issues escalated to the engineering team(s) for example from the Tech Support team or the Production team. Build and test a wide variety of systems spanning the entire OnLogic portfolio. Work with computer hardware, creating and modifying schematics and building and reworking prototype PCB assemblies. Coordinate with 3rd party manufacturers such as PCBA contract manufacturers to inform and support your work. Participate in design reviews and provide product development inputs. Influence future designs to make them more robust. Utilize a thorough root cause analysis process to tackle hardware and software issues. Lead preventative and corrective actions and coordinate the efforts of individuals across the organization. Manage the engineering change process, and coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate engineering change requests, orders, and notifications. Advance the company’s sustaining engineering strategy. Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure high quality products and processes. Roles on our Engineering team include, Electrical, Mechanical, Applications and Regulatory. Requirements You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You have 8+ years of experience utilizing circuit design software(s) to create or modify product designs and troubleshooting electronic hardware. You have experience with engineering development, design practices (especially computer/PC) and change processes. You have attention to detail and a focus on quality. You are organized, with excellent analytical and problem solving skills. You manage time and shifting priorities well, and you effectively communicate changes or project milestones to cross functional teams. Good Command of English in a professional manner.
