Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering firm based in Bucharest, part of an international group delivering complex infrastructure and industrial projects across Europe. With a strong focus on water treatment, civil works, hydraulics, energy, and automation, the company offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and collaborate with expert teams using advanced digital tools. You will handle the design and documentation of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems across all project phases. The role requires advanced electrical design skills: cable and equipment sizing, earthing and lightning protection, Power & Distribution, Automation, Instrumentation & SCADA, plus PLC/SCADA hardware configuration, SCADA architectures, and l ogic flow diagrams . You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support commissioning, and ensure compliance and quality throughout. This is an on‑site role, based in Bucharest , in a modern office located just 5 minutes from Pipera metro station. Responsibilities Design electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for industrial installations Prepare technical documentation for bidding, design, and execution phases Collaborate with civil, mechanical, process, and hydraulic departments Support commissioning and provide technical assistance Ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and project timelines Coordinate with subcontractors to meet deadlines and quality benchmarks Manage and update AS-Built documentation and ensure traceability Travel occasionally for short site visits (domestic & international) Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical design Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of EPLAN, CANECO, and REVIT is a plus Experience in industrial automation is an advantage English proficiency (written & spoken); Strong initiative, ownership, and organizational skills Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication, and team spirit
