Responsibilities Design and plan drainage systems for various projects. Conduct research and analysis of drainage systems to optimize performance. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate drainage systems into project designs. Ensure quality and safety standards are met for drainage construction. Develop project schedules and budgets for drainage systems. Participate in project meetings to report progress and provide technical support. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and contractors. Independently evaluates, selects, and applies engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for continuous and single-event rainfall modeling. Analysis of basins, hydrographs, development and routing of maximum discharges. Requirements 5-10 years of experience in drainage engineering. Software expertise includes: HEC-HMS and SWMM. Understanding of FHWA hydraulic engineering design series and technical reports. Stormwater quantity/quality calculations, LID, NPDES compliance and erosion control Software expertise includes: HEC-RAS, HY-8, CulvertMaster, StormCAD, CivilStorm, PondPack, FlowMaster, useful 2D expertise such as SRH-2D, FLO-2D Development of drainage plans, profiles, specifications and estimates for transportation projects and hydraulic resources. This includes grading, grading, and other design components through models such as Inroads, Arc-GIS, and other pre- and post-processing software packages. Experience with international codes desirable (AASHTO, DOT).
