Description
ABOUT TONIC.AI Tonic.ai http://Tonic.ai builds industry-leading synthetic data solutions for developers and AI engineers. We help development teams generate high-fidelity synthetic data so they can build and test faster, without touching production data. Our products serve a range of use cases: from generating realistic synthetic datasets from scratch to de-identifying structured and unstructured databases for testing and AI workflows. THE ROLE We're hiring a Developer Community Manager to be the voice and face of Tonic.ai in the places developers actually spend their time. You own how we show up in the community: on social, on camera, at events, and in the conversations happening around our space. If someone in a developer community is talking about synthetic data, test data, agent testing, or AI training data, we want you in that conversation. You'll report to the Director of Product Marketing and work across the full product suite. You'll run our social channels end to end, produce video, launch our influencer program, and represent Tonic.ai at events and hackathons. This is a build role for an enthusiastic AI-native: some of what you'll own exists on paper but has never been executed, and some hasn’t been thought of yet; you will execute on both fronts. You'll write the posts, get on camera, cut the demos, and reach out to the creators, and you'll know when to ask for the assets, support, budget, or tokens you need to move faster. WHAT YOU'LL OWN DEVELOPER ADVOCACY - Be a credible, enthusiastic advocate for our products inside developer communities - Bring the community's questions, frustrations, and feedback back to product and marketing - Help developers understand what our products do and why they'd want them in plain, developer-native language INFLUENCER OUTREACH - Take ownership of our influencer program, and execute it from the ground up - Build and manage relationships with developer influencers and creators: outreach, briefing, and follow-through - Drive influencers to engage with, use, and share our products - Track what's working and report on program impact SOCIAL MEDIA - Own our social presence end to end across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Reddit, and wherever else our audience gathers - Ideate, draft, and publish posts; you write and ship, not just schedule - Create original social content, including short-form video and developer-native formats - Engage: respond to comments, join relevant threads, and build genuine presence in conversations happening around our space VIDEO PRODUCTION - Ideate video topics and write scripts - Record as the on-camera speaker and capture product demos - Produce and edit videos into publish-ready assets for social, YouTube, and the website EVENTS & HACKATHONS - Represent Tonic.ai at owned events and sponsored hackathons - Help ideate, plan, and run our presence, from booth to breakout to after-hours - Turn event moments into content that lives on after the event ends WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 2–5 years in social media, community, content, developer relations, or a related creative marketing role - AI-native: you use AI tools daily to move faster, generate variants, and unblock yourself. You're not experimenting with AI; it's already how you work. - Creative and outgoing: you have ideas constantly and you're not shy about putting yourself out there - Genuinely comfortable on camera. A meaningful part of this job is being the person in the video, and that has to energize you, not drain you. - A strong writer who can shift between a punchy social post and a clear video script - Hands-on with video production: you can take a topic from idea to script to recording to a finished, publish-ready cut (or you're a fast learner who's done adjacent work) - Developer experience is a huge plus but not a requirement. If you've written code, contributed to open source, or spent real time in developer communities, tell us, but
