As a Detachment Head, you will need to be able to operate in an expeditionary environment. You must have the ability to make clear and concise decisions independently. Safety will be your highest priority with a strong focus on the real-world application of good practice in a wide range of circumstances. Responsibilities Line management of deployed team, including resource planning, health and safety and security. Performance management of individuals through the conduct of routine 1-2-1 meetings. Provide support to team members including mentoring, encouraging pan-company collaboration and resolution of emergent issues. Management of employee related tasks via company tools, including approval of absence, mandatory training, etc. Continuous improvement of operational, delivery, capability and processes to achieve to most professional and effective service for the customer. Ensuring the team complies with the company Aviation Operating Framework which enables the safe, compliant, and effective accomplishment of delivery. Proactive oversight of a diverse UAS operations, both at home and on deployment. Assisting in the development of operational processes and procedures and preparing documentation for flight ops approval. Assurance of quality in all aspects of maintenance activities. Represent the company as the senior member whilst deployed. Report to program management on operational updates. Undertake deployments and overseas travel as required. Perform other related duties as required. Health & Safety Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner. Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.
