Design Lead (Paris) We are HealthHero, Europe’s largest digital clinic. We are recruiting an exciting Design Lead contracts on an initial 6 month fixed term contract (CDD) – based at our Paris office two days per week; supporting our UK, France, Ireland and Germany markets. Fluent English to express your ideas and understand native speakers is essential. About the role The Design Lead owns one of our key system product experiences end-to-end while helping run how the team works day to day. This is a player-coach role: they carry a major surface themselves, set the craft bar for others, and partner with the Design Director to run the team and shape its culture. They hold the strategic view across the design estate — making sure individual projects ladder up to a coherent whole — and champion a new AI-first way of working built on a robust design system and coding agents. Duties: Own a key product experience: Take full ownership of one of our key system’s product experiences that has use cases and stakeholders across all our markets, from research and stakeholder management through to design Own feedback handling, testing and deployment handover for that product experience Lead discovery: frame the problem, plan and run the right mix of research, and turn insight into a clear point of view that shapes the roadmap, not just the screens Hold a high craft and quality bar from early concepts through to production-ready, accessible, clinically safe design Lead the team’s operating rhythm: Manage the team’s operations and rituals (prioritisation, planning) so we deliver on time Run critiques, design reviews and handovers without sacrificing quality Assist in allocating work across the team, balancing capacity, skills and growth opportunities Keep the strategic view of the design estate, spotting overlaps, gaps and dependencies across consumer, enterprise, brand and the design system Develop the team: Help guide designers through their projects, unblocking them and raising the level of their thinking and output Partner with the Design Director to develop and nurture team members, support their growth, and build healthy team dynamics Give and model clear, kind, specific feedback Help establish the standards and practices that make the team better over time Champion the AI-first workflow and partner across the business: Champion a new AI-first way of working grounded in a robust design system and coding agents Publicly back the Design System Lead — who holds day-to-day ownership of the system — giving them visible authority and air cover in front of designers and engineers Work closely with product, engineering, clinical, operations and commercial stakeholders to align on goals, scope and trade-offs Contribute to proposition and product strategy — helping define not just how things look, but what we build and why Key Skills and Experience Essential Substantial product design experience, including full ownership of a complex product surface shipped to production Multi-market, ambiguous, fast-moving product environments; healthcare, regulated or operationally heavy domains a plus Leading and developing people Excellent stakeholder management: able to influence, challenge and secure buy-in across disciplines and seniority levels Strong systems thinking — designs fluently within a mature design system and actively champions it, partnering well with a dedicated design system owner rather than competing for it A track record of raising craft and quality across a team, and of mentoring or guiding other designers Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving, multi-market environments Han
