About the role Arondite is looking for Deployed AI Engineers to understand our customer's problems and implement solutions using AI. We want people who are excited about the opportunity to take ownership for building AI within a high-performance, mission-focused team. You will be working with AI/ML models and deploying them within our software products, both running in the cloud and on edge devices in the field. The role will also encompass addressing the wider practicalities and challenges in implementing AI-based systems, including obtaining training data, addressing ethical concerns and explaining model behaviours. As an early member of the AI team at Arondite, you will be able to shape how we exploit the AI revolution, both as part of products and to accelerate our internal processes. Your responsibilities will include: Working with customers to identify and understand their problems Designing end-to-end AI solutions from the sensor to the user interface Training, evaluating, testing and productionising robust and performant deep learning models to solve real-world challenges Collaborating with other engineers to integrate models into our enterprise software product and resource-constrained hardware systems Inventing novel capabilities and optimising existing approaches whilst remaining aware of ethical implications of your engineering decisions Documenting and explaining your solutions to provide evidence of compliance with policies regarding the safe use of AI Building secure, robust solutions by adhering to coding standards throughout the development lifecycle Requirements Arondite aims to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds and with different perspectives. We therefore don’t expect people to have experience across every area of the requirements. Please apply even if you only partially fulfil the following lists. You should have: Masters degree (MSc, MEng, etc) in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics or a related engineering field 4 years of relevant experience researching and applying modern AI/ML in areas such as scene understanding, multi-modal sensing, control and path planning, or vision-language understanding. The ability to write clean and maintainable code in Python, Rust, C++ or Java Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow or JAX Strong written and verbal communication skills to document your work effectively and present it to relevant stake-holders and users A
