About the role
The Programming BI Analyst will be responsible for transforming programming, audience, and performance data into strategic insights that directly influence scheduling, rights acquisition, and revenue decisions.
This role goes beyond reporting: it requires the ability to structure complex datasets, identify patterns, and translate numbers into clear, compelling executive narratives. The professional will build dashboards, develop performance analyses, and create high-impact presentations that support leadership discussions and strategic planning. The ideal candidate understands how to connect TV ratings, digital performance, and business outcomes — and communicate those connections persuasively.
What you'll be doing
Analyze programming, audience, and digital performance data across TV, FAST, and YouTube platforms.
Build and maintain dashboards that track performance of matches, competitions, and programming blocks.
Transform complex datasets into clear strategic insights to support programming and content acquisition decisions.
Develop executive presentations that translate numbers into compelling narratives for leadership and stakeholders.
Monitor performance trends including audience ratings, digital engagement and viewership patterns.
Identify opportunities to optimize scheduling, content positioning and promotional strategies based on data analysis.
Support forecasting and performance projections for competitions, events and programming initiatives.
Work closely with Programming, Marketing, Digital and Revenue teams to ensure data-driven decision making.
Maintain accuracy and integrity of internal data sources and reporting structures.
Produce recurring performance reports and ad-hoc analyses for senior management.
What you'll bring
Bachelor's Degree in Data analysis, Data Science, Statistics or similar field
Relevant years of experience in BI, media analytics, audience measurement or performance analysis
Previous experience in sports media or broadcast industry is highly desirable
Experience presenting insights to senior stakeholders
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets
Experience with Looker Studio, Power BI or similar BI tools
Strong presentation-building skills (PowerPoint / Google Slides)
Solid understanding of TV ratings metrics (Rat%, Share, Reach, ATS)
Knowledge of YouTube Analytics (watch time, peak concurrent, CTR, retention, etc.)
SQL, Python or R desirable
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear visual storytelling
Strategic and business-oriented mindset
Strong storytelling ability with data
High analytical rigor
Executive communication skills
Ability to transform raw numbers into powerful, decision-ready insights
