Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst to support the day-to-day execution of our taxonomy, rules, and reference data framework. This role turns governance standards into working artifacts — authoring and maintaining taxonomies, business term definitions, and data rules in our governance platform, and keeping them accurate, consistent, and free of conflict as the organization scales. You will be the hands-on engine behind the governance function, working closely with the Senior Data Governance Lead, Data Operations, and the Reference Data team to maintain the rule and taxonomy libraries that drive classification and data quality. This is a high-ownership, execution-focused role for someone who values structure and precision and wants to see governance standards actually used in production rather than living only as documentation. Requirements Responsibilities Author, maintain, and version taxonomies, business term definitions, and classification hierarchies in the governance platform. Translate approved governance decisions into structured, testable data rules and apply rule IDs consistently across taxonomies. Run routine rule-library analysis to detect duplicates, conflicts, and coverage gaps, and prepare findings for governance review. Maintain metadata, documentation, and change history so definitions and rules remain traceable and auditable. Support intake and triage of new rule and definition requests from Data Operations and business stakeholders. Prepare reference data and golden-record candidates for governance certification, flagging anomalies and exceptions. Produce clear documentation and quick-reference guides that help stewards and analysts apply standards independently. Assist in preparing governance reporting, dashboards, and stakeholder updates. Success in this role will be measured by: Rule & Taxonomy Integrity – Low and declining rates of duplicate, conflicting, or orphaned rules and definitions. Coverage – Measurable progress against taxonomy and reference data coverage targets across tiers. Turnaround – Timely, accurate processing of rule and definition requests within agreed SLAs. Traceability – Complete, auditable change history and documentation for governed artifacts. Usability – Stewards and analysts can apply standards from documentation without repeated escalation. Operationalization – Authored rules and definitions are actively used in classification and quality workflows. Key Qualifications and Role Requirements 2–5 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, analytics, or data operations. Hands-on experience maintaining taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, business glossaries, or rule libraries. Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data, spreadsheets, and governance tooling. Ability to translate governance decisions into precise, consistent, testable rules. Comfort with ambiguity and evolving standards in a maturing governance environment. Familiarity with data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness). Exposure to DAMA / DMBOK concepts a plus. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Benefits At MediaRadar, we are committed to creati
