David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a young financial/FX company led by a management team with over 20 years of experience. Their mission is to simplify trading complexities and deliver excellence to clients across multiple continents and countries. We are for a Data Engineer to own the pipelines and data infrastructure that turn raw platform data into reliable, decision-ready information. Position: Data Engineer   Location: Bangkok, Thailand Employment type: Contract based Work model: on-site/hybrid RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from trading platforms, CRM systems, marketing tools and internal platforms Consolidate data from multiple sources into a unified, analytics-ready data layer Develop and maintain data models supporting reporting, analytics and internal applications Build and automate recurring business reports covering registrations, deposits, active traders, trading volume and IB performance Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity and proper documentation across all systems Optimise SQL queries, database structures and pipeline performance for high-volume transactional datasets Collaborate with Development, Marketing and Operations teams to deliver scalable data solutions based on business requirements Support the continuous development of the company's data infrastructure and internal data tools Troubleshoot data issues and implement improvements to data quality and performance Maintain documentation for data architecture, business metrics and data workflows.   REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience using MySQL and PostgreSQL Experience designing, developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines Strong knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing and dimensional modelling concepts Proficiency in Python or a similar programming language for data processing and automation Experience working with large transactional datasets and ensuring data quality Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent documentation and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience within FinTech, Forex, Trading or another highly regulated data-driven industry is an advantage Familiarity with MT4/MT5 database schemas is an advantage Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Metabase, Power BI or similar is an advantage Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Airflow, dbt or workflow orchestration tools is an advantage Understanding of Introducing Broker (IB), affiliate or MLM commission structures is an advantage OFFER: On-site or hybrid working model Opportunity to work within a global Forex and FinTech environment Exposure to large-scale trading and business intelligence data Collaborative international team Opportunity to contribute to the growth of the company's data infrastructure Professional development and career growth opportunities And many more!!!
