Description
The Data Analyst will help build and maintain the company's data and reporting infrastructure from the ground up. This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who can turn repetitive ERP and operational data extracts into sustainable dashboards, analyses, and decision-support tools. The analyst will work across sales, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, and finance, with particular focus on creating reliable reporting in a complex distribution environment. This is an overseas/remote position. RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and maintain sustainable dashboards, reports, and recurring analyses using Excel and/or Google Sheets. Create repeatable reporting processes from ERP, WMS, and other source-data exports. Develop reporting across sales, margin, purchasing, inventory, inbound/outbound operations, and finance. Analyze complex inventory data, including consumption, inventory levels, JIT requirements, and replenishment needs. Support forecasting and historical trend analysis. Identify data quality issues and work with stakeholders to improve reporting reliability. Navigate ERP/WMS platforms to identify source data and develop useful reports or dashboards. Automate repetitive data preparation and reporting tasks where practical. Document reporting logic, formulas, data sources, and refresh procedures. Translate business questions into clear, actionable analyses for leadership. Requirements Advanced to expert Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas and data manipulation. Experience building and maintaining recurring dashboards and analyses from repetitive source-data uploads. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Experience working with operational data in distribution, warehousing, inventory, logistics, or a related environment. Understanding of inventory concepts, including JIT inventory and complex inventory calculations. Ability to independently structure ambiguous problems and build solutions with limited existing infrastructure. Strong English communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced Google Sheets experience. Experience with ERP and/or WMS systems; Sage experience is a plus. SQL, Python, VBA/macros, or other coding/automation experience. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or another data visualization platform. Experience building forecasts or demand/consumption models. Experience in a high-growth or operationally complex distribution business.
