LA28 does not provide relocation assistance. LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are on a singular mission to create an Olympic and Paralympic Games that celebrate all that this city and country have to offer, delivering an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners and our community.    The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles.    Putting on an Olympic and Paralympic Games is a team sport. Counsel: The Counsel will be an integral part of the legal team, working closely with the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and broader legal department to advise LA28 on legal matters.  This position will leverage negotiation, relationship-building, critical-thinking and communication skills to (1) support the Games Delivery functional area legal needs, including supporting negotiations with venues and certain commercial and governmental partners, (2) negotiate operational contracts, and (3) draft summaries and legal memoranda.     This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to increase your professional network, gain valuable negotiating and business skills, and grow with the organization as we gear up for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games!    This position will report to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel. Key Responsibilities: Support senior members of legal department on identified business transactions and legal matters, including venue use agreements, architecture, engineering, design and construction agreements, venue city agreements and agreements with governmental and other delivery partners.   Steady stream of self-directed analytical work, meetings, and decision-making, including preparing, reviewing and negotiating a variety of legal documents including, but not limited to, confidentiality agreements, memorandums of understanding, term sheets, master services agreements, statements of work, waivers, consents, real estate documents (e.g., lease documents), and legal memoranda or other correspondence and strategic projects.   Work closely with individual departments to anticipate, identify and manage legal exposure and risk management.   Review and understand all relevant corporate/stakeholder documents (including Host City Contract, Olympic Charter, Code of Ethics, etc.).   Work with outside counsel on matters requiring representation.   Ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state and local laws and regulations.   Keep current on industry-wide legal trends and developments.   Background & Requirements: At least 3 years’ experience in transactional matters required.   Prior law firm and/or in-house experience.   Experience in  construction, architecture and engineering,  sports, real estate ,  live-events , or  public law  (e.g.,  public contracting, lobbying,
