We are seeking a Vapor Controls Engineer to support the design, development, and commissioning of control systems for FGRU, VRU, VCU, and Biogas applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning projects from concept through startup while working closely with cross-functional teams and customers.   What You’ll Do Own the electrical and controls scope for assigned projects from design through commissioning Develop control system designs including: Electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and interconnection drawings Control panel layouts and specifications (PLC panels, MCCs, VFDs) Bills of material (BOMs) and instrument data sheets (IDS) Create controls narratives, cause & effect diagrams, and PLC/HMI programs Review project scope and proactively resolve gaps or ambiguities Support field activities including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and service Collaborate with engineering, sales, and field teams to deliver high-quality systems Assist with proposals, estimates, and technical documentation Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (CSA, NEC, NFPA, TSSA)   What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) 5+ years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation Experience with electrical and control panel design Experience creating schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC/HMI programs Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, CSA, NEC, and related standards   What Sets You Apart Experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or biogas industries Experience with hazardous area design (CSA, ATEX, IECEx) Hands-on experience with motors, valves, instrumentation, and control systems Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Schneider/Modicon, GE/Emerson, Triconex, Siemens) Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms (Wonderware, Indusoft, Ignition) Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) Commissioning and troubleshooting experience in industrial environments   Why Join Us Collaborative, technically driven team environment Opportunities for field experience and hands-on project ownership Travel: ~30 - 50% depending on project needs
