Through Healthier Generation programs, products and services, more children nationwide are gaining the opportunity to build a healthy future.    What You Will Do Core Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Budget Management   Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports for leadership and the Board.  Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor organizational performance against budget, including variance and trend analysis.  Oversee grant financial management, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and monitoring of funding requirements.     Accounting Operations & Internal Controls   Review and approve financial transactions, including expense reports, invoices, journal entries, payroll transactions, and other accounting activities to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with policies.  Monitor and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, general ledger activities, and account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial records.  Oversee the outsourced accounting partner and ensure timely, accurate execution of accounting activities and monthly and annual close processes.  Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, financial procedures, and risk management practices.     Audit & Compliance   Lead the annual financial audit, serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.  Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, grant requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.      Leadership & Continuous Improvement   Manage relationships with auditors, banks, outsourced accounting providers, and other partners.  Provide financial guidance and support to staff and organizational leaders.  Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, controls, and reporting to strengthen compliance, reduce risk, improve efficiency, and support effective organizational decision-making.    Required Competencies: Who You Are You should have a genuine interest in and commitment to making kids’ lives healthier.
