Recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in our business, we are actively seeking to hire a Construction Inspectors who aligns with our passion for delivering outstanding client service and high-quality results. The candidate may reside in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, or Ventura but will primarily work at our Montecito job site, requiring daily travel.
What You Will Do
Construction Inspection:
Conduct on-site inspections of water and wastewater construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
Monitor and assess construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and permit requirements are met.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of construction activities, inspections, and any deviations from approved plans.
Prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports.
Provide regular updates to project managers, engineers, and other staff as required.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that construction projects adhere to all plans, specification, and permitting requirements.
Ensure project compliance with all SWPPP and MMRP requirements, as needed.
Communication and Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure smooth project execution.
Communicate effectively with team members to relay inspection results, project status, and potential risks.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and enforce quality assurance measures to ensure that materials, workmanship, and construction processes meet contract requirements.
What You Bring
A passion for water, with an emphasis on creating multi-benefit solutions for communities and the environment.
Previous experience in construction, construction management. or inspection, with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure.
Deep knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure design, construction methods, equipment, materials, and applicable code requirements in one or more disciplines including civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation
Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications.
OSHA training and ISO certifications preferred.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company and insurance provider requirements for driving eligibility.
Pay Range: This is a full time non-exempt hourly position, estimated 40 hours per week. The pay range is $38.00 – $65.00 per hour may be more or less depending on experience
