POSITION SUMMARY :
The successful candidate will be responsible for retention by managing the client service aspects of a marine book of business, and support assigned advisors and current clients by performing the following duties:
JOB DUTIES :
Work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, maintaining a workplace of dignity and respect, in compliance with equal employment opportunity standards and regulations.
Accept direction and constructive criticism from supervisors and managers, in compliance with the Agency's policies and procedures.
Provide rating, marketing, and retention support to advisors, including new business marketing tasks such as quoting, summarizing quote results, and preparing proposals for advisors to present.
When a marine advisor(s) is out of office, contact new prospects for application information, market to carriers, and present quotes. Perform data entry into the agency management system and procure the bind order on their behalf. May include issuing binders, extensions, certificates, etc., and ensure documentation is maintained, including underwriting, marketing, and application information.
Remarketing renewals as requested and delivering quotes and summaries to advisors for review. If proceeding, present the quote and obtain necessary documentation to bind and issue policies. Prepare coverage comparisons as requested and interpret policy provisions to determine methods of effecting desired changes to quotes, coverage, or type of insurance
Work closely with company underwriters to negotiate the best possible coverage options and premiums and assist in negotiating sales and service-related items on behalf of the client. Develop and maintain professional relationships with carrier representatives and underwriters.
Find opportunities to create/enhance SOI relationships and participate in scheduled events (e.g., boat shows).
Complete service-related tasks for marine clients by providing superior client service.
Provide support tasks for renewals as requested to ensure property delivery to clients.
Process incoming mail/tasks in accordance to department workflows and prioritize daily tasks.
Process transactions to generate billing invoices and prepare premium finance contracts as necessary.
Seek referral opportunities for account rounding as well as new prospects.
Maintain up-to-date status with assigned activity tasks and responding/attaching emails in our agency management system.
Monitor continuing education requirements to ensure compliance with licensing requirements by enrolling in online CE courses.
Follow Agency guidelines, policies, and procedures.
