Our Enterprise IT team ensures the performance and availability of the systems that support day-to-day operations, while our Classified IT team manages highly secure environments that protect sensitive government information. Working alongside them, our Cybersecurity team proactively defends our networks and systems against evolving threats. Together, these teams provide the technology foundation that enables STR’s engineers and researchers to develop innovative solutions for national defense. The Role: We are seeking a Systems Administrator with an active Secret or Top Secret clearance to support our senior administrators in implementing, deploying, and maintaining Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems in traditional and virtualized environments across a variety of hardware solutions. What you will Do: Professionally support senior administrators, Information System Security Officers (ISSO), management, researchers and others supporting the customers Configure and maintain NAS Storage, Networking, Firewall, and Directory Services such as MS Active Directory management and Group Policy administration Perform performance monitoring, results analysis and enhancement, as well as process automation using PowerShell scripting and other available technologies Provide daily support, systems maintenance, problem resolution, tracing and project support Create and maintain installation and configuration Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Maintain current knowledge of DoD security and technical guidelines and the organization's policies Provide support for production and development environments After-hours support is required for maintenance and patching when needed Who you Are: This position requires an active Secret or Top Secret security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government Linux Administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu) Windows OS Administration Nice to Haves: Enterprise Virtualization Tools Multi-Factor Authentication Public Key Infrastructure Web Server Active Directory including Group Policy, LDAP backend, and Replication Effective utilization of Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGS) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Content and Tools Host Based Security System (HBSS) implementation and maintenance Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) support Current knowledge of DoD Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS) Education: Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience or Master’s degree + 3 years of experience or PhD or equivalent experience. Pay Information   Full-Time Salary Range:  $105,000 to $125,000 The salary range listed is based on external market data.
