Few people get to build a bank from scratch. Even fewer get to build one at a moment when banking itself is being reinvented. The Dollar is the best product in the history of the world - there is infinite global demand. But International Fintechs and non-US banks are left with two unsatisfying options to access it: Either they build on legacy clearing banks that are slow and unreliable, or they interface with middleware providers that don’t move and hold the dollars directly, but themselves rely on underlying legacy banks. Augustus collapses this stack by combining two things: A real, national bank charter (in organization), and Marble, our proprietary core banking system, built around intelligence, made of code. We are a group of operators, unicorn early employees, ex-founders and people who walked away from degrees because they believe this is an industry and career defining opportunity. We are backed with more than $200M from Peter Thiel's Valar Ventures, Tiger Global, Hummingbird, QED, Creandum, and the founders of Nubank, Ramp, Deel, Circle, Fluidstack, Fuse, and n8n. We are regulated in Europe and live with Euro and Stablecoin clearing today. Now, we are building the US team from the ground up, while continuing to grow rapidly in Europe. THE ROLE You sit inside the CEO office and work directly with the founders and leadership team on the most important topics at Augustus: strategy, new opportunities, and getting high-impact projects from idea to execution. You own independent analyses, drive strategic projects end to end, and coordinate across the organization to make things happen. The scope shifts with the company's priorities. One week you're deep in a market entry analysis, the next you're pulling together the business case for a new product. The Path Forward: Get deep into how the company works today - strategy, operations, product - and you are positioning yourself to own a P&L or product line as we scale.   WHO WILL THRIVE AT AUGUSTUS We believe that throwing smart people with high agency at big problems produces the best outcomes. Your first instinct is to automate, not to handle it manually.   This role is for you if: - You do the work yourself before you delegate it. You're as comfortable in the details as you are in the room where the decision gets made. - You can walk into a conversation with senior leadership, hold your own, and leave with a clear next step. - You translate complexity into simple, actionable conclusions: for a founder, a regulator, or a product team. - You're comfortable going from a blank page to a board-ready analysis without hand-holding. - You move fast, communicate clearly, and follow through without being chased. - You want broad exposure early: strategy, product, operations, and everything in between. This is not for you if: - You need a clearly defined scope to do your best work. - You prefer depth in one area over breadth across many. - You're not comfortable presenting your work and defending your reasoning directly to senior leadership. - You want to work 9-5.   HARD REQUIREMENTS - 2+ years of work experience in consulting, banking, or growth stage companies. - Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a top-tier university with excellent grades. - Based in New York or willing to relocate.   PAY TRANSPARENCY Compensation packages at Augustus
