Description
CAD Engineers are the conductors of an invisible orchestra, using 3D precision to arrange the perfect harmony between every drop of water and every pulse of data. Are you a precision-driven CAD professional ready to design the next generation of high-tech water and sensor systems for the global horticultural industry? Then this is your opportunity! We are looking for a young and inspired CAD Engineer with around 2 years solid experience, wishing to take their career to the next level! While we truly appreciate interest from global talent, but for this specific role, we are looking for a local candidate who is already based in the Netherlands and within an easy commute of our De Lier office. About Priva Priva is a global leader in technology solutions for controlled environment horticulture and building automation. From our roots in the Dutch greenhouse industry, we develop integrated systems that help growers worldwide optimize their climate, water, and energy use. Our water and sensor systems are at the heart of modern, sustainable greenhouse operations — and we’re looking for a talented CAD Engineer to help shape what comes next.  As a CAD Engineer within the Water & Sensor Systems team, you translate engineering concepts into precise, manufacturable designs. You work closely with mechanical engineers, product developers, and production teams to develop and maintain 3D models, technical drawings, and product documentation for our irrigation, dosing, and sensor product lines. Your work directly contributes to solutions used by growers across Europe and beyond.  What you’ll do Create and maintain 3D models and 2D production drawings using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or equivalent)  Develop component and assembly drawings that meet manufacturing and quality standards  Collaborate with R&D, mechanical engineering, and supply chain teams during new product development  Support design changes and modifications throughout the product lifecycle (ECO/ECN process)  Maintain and organize the product data structure in our PDM/PLM environment  Contribute to design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant standards and norms  Work with suppliers and internal production on design-for-manufacturability (DFM) considerations  What you’ll bring An MBO+ or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field; a background in Electrical Engineering is a plus  2 years proven experience with 3D CAD software — Autodesk Inventor experience is a strong advantage  Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems (e.g. Autodesk Vault, Windchill)  A feel for materials, manufacturing processes, and precision mechanical assembly  Affinity with fluid systems, piping, or sensor-based products is a plus  Affinity with electrical engineering, wiring, or electromechanical systems is a preference  Accurate, structured, and hands-on in your way of working  Good communication skills in Dutch and English   What we offer A position within an innovative, internationally oriented company with a strong mission in sustainable horticulture  A collaborative team environment where your technical input genuinely matters  Plenty of opportunity for professional development and growth  Competitive salary and benefits, in line with your experience and qualifications  A modern working environment at our headquarters in De Lier, the heart of the Dutch greenhouse region  We’d love to hear from you.
