Position Overview
The BIM/VDC Manager is a strategic, hands‑on leader responsible for building, implementing, and scaling the company’s BIM/VDC function across four regional offices . This is a builder role —ideal for someone who thrives in environments where they can establish standards, develop processes, and shape a digital construction program from the ground up. The BIM/VDC Manager will drive digital transformation, lead model‑based coordination, and ensure that technology enhances project delivery across all regions.
Key Responsibilities
BIM/VDC Strategy — Develop and execute a multi‑office BIM/VDC roadmap, including standards, workflows, and long‑term digital strategy.
Function Build‑Out — Establish the BIM/VDC function across four regional offices, including staffing recommendations, process development, and technology rollout.
Model Management — Oversee creation, maintenance, and quality control of 3D models across all disciplines and regions.
Coordination Leadership — Lead clash detection, coordination meetings, and issue resolution to eliminate field conflicts.
Technology Integration — Implement and manage digital tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Synchro, BIM 360/ACC, and other VDC platforms.
BIM Execution Plans — Create, maintain, and enforce BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and modeling requirements across all offices.
Team Training — Train project teams, regional staff, and trade partners on BIM/VDC tools and workflows.
Cross‑Regional Collaboration — Ensure alignment and consistency across all four offices through regular communication, audits, and shared best practices.
Data & Documentation — Ensure accurate model data for quantity takeoffs, 4D/5D simulations, and project reporting.
Innovation — Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
Qualifications
Education — Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
Experience — 7–10 years of BIM/VDC experience, including leading or building BIM/VDC programs.
Multi‑Office Leadership — Proven ability to scale processes, standards, and technology across multiple locations.
Software Skills — Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, and related tools.
Technical Knowledge — Strong understanding of BIM standards, LOD requirements, and model‑based workflows.
Leadership — Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive organizational change.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
