Description
Our office, Southwest Florida OFS - Fort Myers, is seeking a Biller to join our busy specialty practice.
As a Biller, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the maximum benefits from their insurance coverage while delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Your Responsibilities:
Verify patients' dental insurance coverage and benefits.
Communicate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorizations for treatments.
Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage and estimated costs.
Submit accurate and timely insurance claims electronically and via mail.
Follow up on outstanding insurance claims, appeals, and denials.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental insurance policies and industry changes.
Collaborate with the front desk and clinical teams to ensure accurate patient information and treatment codes.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing insurance-related inquiries and concerns.
Educate patients on available payment options for uncovered services.
As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.
Your Background
Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for dental care and exceptional customer service? We are currently seeking a Dental Biller to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring smooth insurance operations for our patients. As a vital part of our practice, you will be responsible for managing insurance claims, facilitating billing processes, and providing top-notch support to our patients regarding their insurance-related inquiries. You also have the following:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1+ years of experience as a Biller or in a similar role is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Proficiency in dental practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills to navigate insurance claim discrepancies and denials.
High level of professionalism and a patient-centric attitude.
Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to operate standard office equipment
Must be able to assist patients safely in and out of chairs or treatment areas
Must be able to maintain clinical positioning for extended periods
Must be able to work around medical equipment and instruments
Must be able to adhere to OSHA and infection control standards
Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements
Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations
