Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs (REST/gRPC) Contribute to backend architecture and ensure system reliability and scalability Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise performance in production systems Collaborate with product, QA, and frontend teams to deliver robust, maintainable solutions Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code Stay current with modern backend and cloud technologies Requirements 5+ years of experience in backend software development (Kotlin or Java) Strong understanding of microservices, cloud deployment (AWS/GCP), and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis) Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and event-driven systems (Kafka) Solid understanding of APIs (REST, gRPC) and version control (GitHub) Familiarity with agile development processes Fluent in English (Mandarin or Cantonese a plus) Fintech, payment, or settlement background is a plus Benefits Competitive compensation and meaningful work impact Equity available Flexibility and a global, tech-driven culture Career growth opportunities within a fast-scaling fintech Work with ambitious teammates who think big and execute fast
