👫 Who we’re looking for: A Backend or a Fullstack developer with solid Kotlin experience ready to join a small team building a genuinely creative engineering product in Brno. 🌍 Where? Brno, Czech Republic. 🗓️ When? Q4 2026.  ABOUT THE ROLE As a Backend Developer, you will be joining the Creatives team at ROI Hunter, building and owning features across the platform that powers image and video template editors used by enterprise e-commerce clients worldwide. You will work across the creative part of our platform, building new features, fixing bugs, doing refactors and paying down technical debt across a codebase that spans image templates, video templates and a set of around five internal services. You will keep pushing the GenAI features further into the self-served product, including image generation and background removal, replacing manual work with scalable, product-native solutions. You will work closely with the Feed Team and Campaigns Team where the Creatives Team connects to catalog management and ad delivery on Meta, Snapchat and TikTok. A significant portion of what the team ships involves AI-assisted code . You will use those tools every day, and you will be expected to review, understand and own everything you ship. The team is small and the documentation is still catching up with the product. You will need to explore, piece things together and be comfortable figuring out how things work on your own. You will help unify the historically separate image and video codebases, bringing more consistency to a platform that is growing fast and taking on more scope. ABOUT YOU You are a backend developer who takes ownership of what you build and cares about the quality of your output, not just whether it works, but whether it's maintainable and readable by the person sitting next to you. You are comfortable with Kotlin, or you know it well enough that switching from Java feels like a natural next step rather than a leap. You are as passionate about using AI tools in development as we are, and you know the difference between u sing AI to go faster and just letting it write code you can't explain. You own everything you commit. You are a self-starter who can piece together how a system works. The documentation is still catching up with the dynamically growing product, and you are comfortable with that. Being interested in FE technologies is a must in this role. The team values full stack flexibility even if the backend is where you start. Having front-end experience with React and TypeScript already is a great plus!  You are based in or near Brno, or open to occasional in-person meetups. The team communicates day to day in Czech. You want to stick around and grow with us and our platform, not jump between projects every few months.
