Description
Automation Engineer – Data Centers (SCADA / Ignition / PLC ) We are seeking a Controls / Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in PLC programming, SCADA development, and system integration to support our mission-critical data center infrastructure. This role focuses on developing, deploying, and maintaining industrial control systems used in high-availability environments. The ideal candidate has experience with Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) PLCs, Ignition SCADA, and industrial networking, and is comfortable working in fast-paced, uptime-sensitive environments. Responsibilities: Develop, program, and maintain PLC control logic primarily using Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, Micro800, Studio 5000) Design and configure Ignition SCADA applications, including HMI screens, alarming, trending, and data visualization Integrate PLCs, SCADA systems, and third-party devices using protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet/IP, and OPC UA Support Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and other critical infrastructure systems within data centers Assist in system architecture, controls design, and network layout for industrial automation systems Participate in factory testing, site commissioning, and system startup activities Diagnose and resolve control system, SCADA, and communication issues in live environments Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and IT/OT engineers Maintain accurate technical documentation, including control narratives
