Description
Key Responsibilities – Automotive Electrical Assembly & Installation Install and route wiring harnesses, electrical components, and control systems on heavy vehicles and truck chassis in accordance with engineering drawings and assembly standards. Perform electrical connections for lighting systems, batteries, sensors, switches, relays, and control panels, ensuring proper functionality and reliability. Conduct electrical testing using multimeters and diagnostic equipment to verify system performance and compliance with specifications. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify electrical faults during assembly, testing, and production stages. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support installation and fault-finding activities. Support the integration of vehicle electrical systems, including 12V/24V DC circuits and CAN bus communication networks where applicable. Ensure all electrical installations meet quality requirements, safety regulations, and company manufacturing procedures. Maintain tools, testing equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and operational condition. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Minimum Requirements Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Automotive Electrical, or a related technical discipline. Working knowledge of DC electrical systems (12V/24V) and vehicle electrical components. Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics. Knowledge of CAN bus systems will be an added advantage. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in automotive, heavy vehicle, truck manufacturing, or industrial electrical assembly.
