Description
SOUNDBOKS is an innovative tech company and aspiring lifestyle brand. You may have seen us at a music festival, street party, or your friend’s celebration (think: private events combining festival-grade sound with beat-enhancing lights) where special moments are turned into memories. We create the loudest, most durable, and arguably coolest Bluetooth speakers and audio reactive lights on the market. At SOUNDBOKS, trust and community go hand in hand. People are encouraged to take ownership of their work while knowing they have the support of the team behind them. Voices are heard, ideas are welcomed, and collaboration is what pushes us forward. This is more than a job - it’s a community where people care about each other, celebrate together, and share the energy of creating something meaningful. Life at SOUNDBOKS is bold, fast, and full of passion - for the product, for the mission, and for showing up as your true self. With 70 team members, this is a place where you can do your best work and truly belong. ROLE AUDIO ENGINEER TEAM PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT HOURS FULL TIME LOCATION COPENHAGEN, DENMARK START DATE OCTOBER 2026 or ASAP The Product Development team at SOUNDBOKS is the group responsible for the exciting product journey, taking every step of the development process toward and into mass production. In it’s heartbeat you’ll find collaborative and self-driven team members with a large cross-discipline understanding tied to ownership. They are there to make a difference - for the products, the team and the SOUNDBOKS customers as a whole. As our Audio Engineer, you'll explore new ways to improve the audio experience across SOUNDBOKS products by combining signal processing, system simulation, and engineering insight. Working closely with the Acoustics, Hardware, and Firmware teams, you'll help shape the technologies behind our next generation of speakers. Okay, let’s make things a little more concrete. Here’s what we expect your daily life to look like: Audio System Development Develop audio concepts and proof-of-concepts at a system level. Explore new approaches to improve audio performance across products. Collaborate with the Acoustics, Hardware, and Firmware teams during concept development. Signal Processing & Simulation Perform advanced signal processing simulations with a focus on sound pressure level (SPL), sound quality, and system efficiency. Simulate the interaction between acoustics, amplifiers, electronics, and battery performance. Evaluate and develop signal processing algorithms to improve overall product audio performance. System Performance & Collaboration Work closely across the entire Product Development team in order to evolve and improve the audio performance across our future product portfolio. Apply signal processing methodologies to improve sound pressure, sound quality, and battery performance. In order to become a success in this role, we believe that your profile should be aligned with the bullets listed below. However, we acknowledge that success can take many forms, so please do apply even if you don’t tick all the boxes. You hold a BSc or higher in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, or a related engineering field. You've designed and simulated audio systems, ideally loudspeakers, and know your way around signal processing for audio. You're comfortable using simulations and measurements to test ideas, challenge assumptions, and make better engineering decisions. It’ll be considered a plus if you have experience working with loudspeaker design, transducers, enclosure design, or audio electronics. You get excited by solving difficult audio problems and finding smarter ways to improve performance. You're naturally curious, love experimenting, and enjoy digging into the details until things sound and work better. You take ownership of your work and enjoy bouncing ideas aroun
