We are looking to hire an Atomic Operations Designer to design, model and characterise operations based on the interaction between ions and laser and microwave fields. We may be the right place for you, so get in touch!  What You’ll Accomplish  Design methods for atom-light operations such as sub-Doppler cooling, state preparation and detection and quantum gates  Contribute to the development of accurate physics models describing atom-light interactions  Work with the hardware teams to implement methods on our devices  Analyse experimental results and compare them against predictions from models
