Purpose of Position The Associate, Project Manager supports the successful delivery of product, program, and technology-enabled initiatives at EdReports by partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Technical teams and helping these teams translate priorities into clear plans, track progress, and surface risks. Reporting to the Director of Project Management, this role partners closely with Project Managers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teammates to ensure work moves from idea to delivery with clarity, transparency, and alignment. The Associate, Project Manager role is designed for someone developing core project management and product operations skills and emphasizes learning through hands-on delivery support while beginning to take ownership of defined components of work. While prior experience working with technical teams is helpful, this role does not require technical expertise; success requires curiosity, strong organization, clear communication, and comfort learning technical context over time. Key Responsibilities & Outcomes Responsibilities: Support delivery planning and execution for defined initiatives or workstreams, including timelines, milestones, and task coordination. Maintain delivery artifacts and tools (e.g., project plans, workflows, documentation, dashboards) to ensure accurate and up-to-date visibility. Track progress against delivery commitments and proactively flag risks, blockers, or scope changes. Facilitate or support delivery rituals such as kickoffs, stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives. Coordinate across technical and non-technical  partners to support alignment, communication, and follow-through on delivery commitments. Support intake and prioritization processes by gathering inputs, organizing information, and documenting decisions. Prepare status updates and documentation for internal stakeholders and team leaders, including translating technical updates into clear, accessible information for non-technical audiences. Support visibility into technical dependencies, system constraints, sequencing considerations, and implementation risks, escalating questions or blockers with guidance from Project Managers or technical leads. Apply EdReports’ planning, governance, and delivery standards consistently and thoughtfully. Seek feedback, reflect on performance, and actively build project management and product operations skills. Model EdReports’ Core Values and DBIE commitments in collaboration and execution. Other relevant duties as assigned to support the organization's strategic goals, with the expectation that all EdReports employees remain flexible and adaptable to evolving responsibilities. Outcomes (What Success Looks Like): Project information remains organized, accurate, and accessible to teams and leaders. Risks and dependencies are surfaced early and communicated clearly.
