Anyone eager to be on a team that doesn’t stop to ask what’s next, because they’re  already building it.  The Opportunity Kargo is hiring an Associate Research Manager to join our Research and Insights team—a strategic, cross-functional group that directly supports multiple functions of the business. Working closely with Client Services, Media Strategy, and Sales, you'll synthesize and deliver compelling insights and stories that prove ad effectiveness, derived from both internal and external data. The ideal candidate pairs an analytical, strategic mind with strong intellectual curiosity—someone who sees the "why" beyond the data and turns it into practical business impact. This position is based in our New York office and is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 4 days per week. The Daily To-Do Support all stages of ad effectiveness research—study design, field management, data analysis, and client deliverables—executing measurement approaches that best fit campaign goals, including brand lift, conversion, foot traffic, and sales lift Partner with go-to-market teams, providing measurement expertise, industry knowledge, and clear, insight-driven recommendations and proof points Liaise with industry research vendors daily to assess feasibility, activate campaigns, monitor optimizations, and present findings Identify, investigate, and evaluate new media measurement models, data sources, and research partners, and establish processes with internal operations teams to ensure technical campaign measurement setup and tracking Build benchmarks, media and creative best practices, and optimization plans for audience and targeting strategies to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and revenue impact Turn measurement results into actionable growth strategies for clients and increased adoption of Kargo's priority ad products Participate in client-facing strategy sessions, campaign kick-offs, and end-of-campaign presentations to deepen relationships with advertisers Qualifications 2–3 years of experience in a research, analytics, or measurement role Expertise in digital brand lift measurement; experience in digital, video, and/or CTV preferred Direct experience with research services like Upwave, Dynata, Kantar, Foursquare, Circana, Samba, Attain, and DISQO Technical knowledge of campaign setup Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate innovative solutions to complex problems and stay ahead of industry trends Experience supporting advertising agencies and sales/business development teams with consumer insight initiatives Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, plus expert-level Excel skills and the ability to extract and manipulate data with a high degree of accuracy In accordance with applicable federal, state, and local pay transparency laws, the anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in the Kargo Incentive Plan (KIP). Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, education, and skills.
