As an Assistant Project Manager within our Pre-Construction Services group, you’ll support the planning and development of renewable energy and power generation projects from early-stage feasibility through construction readiness.
Working alongside experienced project managers, developers, owners, engineers, utilities, and contractors, you’ll help coordinate project activities, develop schedules and budgets, track risks and action items, and support the transition from development into construction. Projects may include utility-scale solar PV, battery energy storage, wind, and other renewable and power generation infrastructure.
This position is based in Las Vegas, NV or Phoenix, AZ and will require periodic travel to project sites and client locations.
What You’ll Do
Support Project Managers with pre-construction planning and execution for renewable energy and power generation projects.
Assist with project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, scopes of work, and development plans.
Coordinate with developers, owners, utilities, engineers, EPC contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Track project action items, deliverables, decisions, risks, and key milestones.
Support site due diligence, permitting, interconnection, constructability, and development activities.
Assist with reviewing engineering documents, drawings, specifications, estimates, and project schedules.
Help develop bid packages, procurement strategies, and project execution plans.
Participate in project meetings and help maintain clear communication between internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
Assist with identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Support the transition of projects from pre-construction into construction.
Prepare project updates, presentations, reports, and other decision-support materials for clients and leadership.
Travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
Who You Are
You have a "Do what needs to be done" mindset, taking ownership beyond assigned tasks and stepping in wherever needed to keep projects, teams, and customers supported and moving forward.
You have 2+ years of experience in project management, construction, engineering, energy, or infrastructure.
You have an interest in renewable energy, power generation, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Experience with solar PV, BESS, wind, or other energy projects is preferred but not required.
You are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project workstreams.
You have strong attention to detail and are comfortable working with project schedules, budgets, spreadsheets, and technical documentation.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable working with clients, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
You are comfortable learning new project management tools and systems.
You have a basic understanding of construction means and methods and an interest in developing deeper expertise in pre-construction and project delivery.
