Description
Pixlr Group is looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager, IT Operations to keep our production services and workplace technology dependable. You’ll investigate incidents, handle IT assets, manage Google Workspace, endpoints and office networks, coordinate vendors, and guide the IT support team, without losing touch with the technical work. The Job: 1. Production Operations & Service Reliability Monitor production and staging environments, including service availability, application health, system performance, scheduled activities, and operational alerts. Investigate production issues and coordinate resolution with Engineering, DevOps, Security, Data Engineering, Product, and external service providers. Support critical incident escalation, service restoration, stakeholder updates, and after-hours response where required. 2. Incident, Problem & Change Management Coordinate incident response, root-cause reviews, corrective actions, and recurring problem resolution. Maintain incident, problem, and change records, including escalation paths, recovery procedures, and operational documentation. Support operational-readiness reviews for production releases, including implementation risks, rollback arrangements, and post-deployment validation. 3. Google Workspace, Access & Service Requests Administer Google Workspace accounts, groups, organisational units, licences, shared resources, administrative roles, and onboarding or offboarding activities. Manage access requests and periodic reviews covering multi-factor authentication, privileged access, external sharing, third-party applications, and least-privilege requirements. Coordinate employee and contractor service requests relating to accounts, applications, devices, access, and technical support. 4. Endpoint, Asset & Office Infrastructure Manage and support company laptops, desktop PCs, peripherals, endpoint security, patching, encryption, software deployment, repairs, replacements, and secure disposal. Troubleshoot Windows, macOS, application, Wi-Fi, VPN, domain name system (DNS), dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP), and office connectivity issues. Maintain accurate asset, software, licence, network equipment, configuration, warranty, and assigned-user records. 5. Operational Governance, Compliance & Continuity Maintain standard operating procedures, operational runbooks, escalation guides, network documentation, and service-recovery instructions. Support compliance with company security policies and applicable ISO 27001 and SOC 2 requirements, including audit evidence and control reviews. Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, access reviews, endpoint compliance, and remediation of operational security findings. 6. Vendor, Team & Service Management Coordinate technology vendors, internet service providers, hardware suppliers, and external support partners on incidents, service levels, renewals, warranties, and procurement. Supervise and guide IT Operations and Technical Support team members while remaining hands-on in complex troubleshooting and escalations. Monitor operational performance and improve recurring processes through standardisation, documentation, self-service guidance, or lightweight automation. Requirements The Person : At least 6 years of experience in IT operations, production operations, systems administration, technical support, or infrastructure operations, including at least 2 years of leadership experience. Strong hands-on experience supporting production incidents, Google Workspace, Windows and macOS devices, employee IT services, and business-critical systems. Practical knowledge of endpoint management, IT asset lifecycle, access administration, office networking, and technical troubleshooting.
