As a people manager overseeing the projects team, you ensure disciplined delivery, strong governance, effective change adoption and measurable outcomes. You operate through cross-functional teams and partners, aligning stakeholders and managing risks to deliver value at portfolio level.   Key Responsibilities Programme Strategy, Discovery & Planning Develop and maintain an integrated programme roadmap aligned to employee productivity priorities, with clear outcomes and success measures. Oversee systematic problem discovery (“whitespace”) to surface new productivity opportunities and translate them into prioritised workstreams. Provide strategic advice to senior management on sequencing, trade-offs, delivery feasibility and key risks. Governance, Risk & Assurance Run programme governance to enable timely decisions, clear accountability and effective escalation across initiatives. Ensure compliance with relevant public sector policies, financial rules, audit requirements, data protection and security obligations, in partnership with designated authorities. Coordinate programme-level assurance to ensure solutions are operationally ready and aligned to enterprise standards. Delivery Oversight & Portfolio Controls Oversee delivery across the portfolio through the projects team, managing interdependencies, risks and delivery health. Maintain an integrated view of scope, schedule, budget and benefits; intervene early to keep delivery on track. Establish programme-level tracking and reporting of milestones, risks and outcomes. Change, Adoption & Capability Lead change and adoption planning to embed new tools and ways of working into business-as-usual. Identify capability gaps and coordinate enablement to strengthen digital fluency and productivity practices across the organisation. Stakeholder & Partner Management Align senior leadership, line units, product owners and delivery partners on priorities, expectations, delivery status and outcomes. Provide clear programme updates and recommendations on progress, risks and trade-offs. Budget & Resource Management Manage programme budgets and resource plans with strong financial discipline and value-for-money focus. Support budget submissions and programme proposals, ensuring clarity of outcomes, costs and risks. People Management Lead and develop the projects team: hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management and capability development. Set clear delivery expectations, ways of working and role clarity across project roles; ensure consistent programme management practice.
