As a role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require 5 days in the office each week.  Responsibilities:  Work collaboratively and professionally in a team environment to develop software for specific requirements and technical problems, following Garmin’s coding standards.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features for advanced Android applications.  Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.  Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to improve the development process.  Bring value by actively participating in code reviews and technical discussions.  Utilize development tools for version control, deployment, monitoring, and other instruments used in the software engineering process.  Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced Software Engineers.  Requirements Strong knowledge of Android Architecture Components, Jetpack Compose, Java/Kotlin, Android Studio, OOP, data structures and algorithms. 5+ years of experience in Android development. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adaptability to changing priorities, enthusiasm, strong work ethic. Deep attention to details and ability to work both independently and as a member of a small team for problem solving and solution development. Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. BSc in Computer Science, IT or similar.
