Description
From empowering entrepreneurs to build successful businesses to supporting their clients in arranging "me time" moments, we’re in the business of elevating people - helping them to thrive and feel fantastic. Lifting others up can be hard, heavy work, and we passionately believe that the sense of purpose and personal satisfaction this brings are worth it. What started in Poland is now an international, cloud-based marketplace that’s scaling rapidly. We bring independent business owners together with their customers on a product that connects creative communities and opens up worlds of opportunities. Working in a rapidly growing, ever-changing scale-up comes with its own set of opportunities and challenges. If you prefer a stable environment with clear processes and structures, then we’ve got to be honest: you won’t always find that here. However, if you enjoy inventively solving problems, helping create clarity when things get confusing, and prioritizing your own path within ambiguity, then you'll love the opportunities available to grow your career at Booksy. Requirements As the Analytics Engineering Lead, you will be the primary architect of our data’s "source of truth." You will lead a team of high-performing Analytics Engineers dedicated to transforming raw data into actionable insights through a sophisticated Looker semantic layer. In this role, you’ll enjoy shaping the future of our data ecosystem by mentoring team members, managing sprint priorities, and driving a high-performance culture. You'll serve as the main guardian of our Looker architecture, establishing robust CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and partnering with Data Engineering to optimize table structures. Additionally, you will work closely with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Finance, and GTM Ops to turn complex business needs into scalable data models, while leveraging Python, Looker APIs, or AI solutions to automate repetitive workflows. Essentially, to ensure you succeed in this role you’re going to need… 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring data or analytics engineers in an agile environment, with a track record of supporting individual career growth and fostering strong feedback cultures. Deep expertise in building and maintaining enterprise semantic layers in Looker (LookML, Liquid, administration) , supported by advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with modern cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery. An engineering-first mindset, reflected in your hands-on experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and structured data modelling methodologies like Kimball or Data Vault. Practical scripting capability in Python to integrate with APIs, automate manual workflows, or explore intelligent automation solutions. At a minimum we require fluent English language skills (C1) . Why? English is our company language and is used for any business-wide communications, so we need you to be able to speak English to feel like an integrated part of Booksy. It will also help you to have… Real-world experience migrating legacy analytics environments over to Looker, or integrating AI Agents into conversational analytics workflows. Strong cross-functional storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly translate intricate data trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders across GTM and Finance. A natural pull toward operational efficiency, clear documentation, and clean Jira workflows that bring speed and clarity to the team's output.
