Come grow with us! Reports to: Analytical Laboratory Manager Position Summary  Provide technical support for the production of PBI/Gordon products. Provide physical and analytical testing in support of PBI/Gordon products. Ensure that all products are within specification.   Compensation & Benefits   Employee Ownership (ESOP):  Company-funded retirement contribution of approximately 18% of pay, plus 401(k)   Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus opportunity   Comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, FSA, and Pet Insurance   Generous paid time off, paid holidays, and parental leave   Fitness and tuition reimbursement programs   Essential Duties & Responsible Prepare batch tickets and batch corrections .   Approve of batches which meet specifications.   Interact with plant employees to resolve technical problems.   Provide technical support to PBI/Gordon employees and customers .   Sample incoming raw materials .   Provide certificates of analysis to customers .   Perform HPLC, GC, AA, and COD analysis.   Backup the Laboratory Technician by conducting line checks when necessary.   Check incoming line samples and manufacturing tank samples using instrumental analysis and test methods for physical characteristics.   Maintain records of all batch tickets and testing.   Prepare bench scale R&D samples and conduct experiments to further PBI-Gordon technical knowledge.    Develop methods of analysis for PBI-Gordon products.   Purchase reagents and chemicals for use in the laboratory.   Input data from the IFS System concerning  manufacture  of  product .   Conduct weekly inspection of hazardous waste drums .   Conduct monthly safety inspections  of  the laboratory.   All other  duties as  may be assigned.   Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field.     Basic  proficiency  in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, charts).     Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.     Strong math skills.     Ability to follow written procedures and instructions accurately.     Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.     Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate professionally.     Ability to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision when  required .    Ability to lift light load (25  lbs  or less)     Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.     Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years in Chemical Manufacturing environment with laboratory experience preferred.    Work Environment & Culture   PBI-Gordon Companies offers a collaborative, employee-owned environment where accountability, partnership, and continuous improvement are valued.
